As innovative leaders in the horticulture industry on both sides of the Atlantic, Summit Plastic Company, U.S.A., and Desch BV, the Netherlands, blended their strengths and created a new company—a hybrid. JanorPot.

Not a merger or a sale, JanorPot is a new joint venture company dedicated to the improvement, expansion and manufacture of round containers in the United States.




Desch BV was the first to produce thermoformed polypropylene pots in Europe. They perfected the technology. Needless to say, they have the knowledge and technical ability essential to produce quality horticultural pots.

Summit Plastic Company understands growers’ needs in the U.S. market and the growing demands of the North American consumer and big box retail stores. Summit Plastic has the production knowledge, marketing expertise, and printing expertise to get quality pot and tray systems to the marketplace.




The JanorPot facility, located in Mogadore, Ohio, has room for growth. It was planned that way. The 125,000 square foot building is not glamorous, but it houses the latest high-tech equipment customized for thermoforming with unique polypropylene resins and recycled materials.

JanorPot operates on a 24-7 schedule with a trained staff, many of whom spent time training in Europe learning the equipment, the raw materials and the process.

JanorPot, like Summit Plastic and Desch, is dedicated to the horticultural industry, manufacturing and printing for the North American market.
